Sharing is caring!

This post will share my 8Greens review including major benefits and analysis of the customer feedback from those who actually used this health product. Plus, we will be able to learn how people’s interest in 8Greens has been changed for the past 5 years. I believe most of the visitors probably are not familiar with the firm, 8Greens, so let’s first find out about the company.

About 8Green

8Green was started in 2010 with the mission to provide the most important greens for people’s health and to make consumption easy and tasty. Dawn Russel, the founder of 8Greens, embarked on a journey to find the best raw materials for her 8Greens. She went to farms, lakes, and factories to ensure quality. As a result of the endeavors, the firm can produce 8Green products with a simple process of dehydration and with unharmed enzymatic ingredients. The firm claims that 8Greens ingredients are extracted from GMP-compliant, HACCP-compliant, and organic certified suppliers. The 8Greens’ facility has been approved by the FDA’s Therapeutic Goods Administration.

Story of the Founder

When I reviewed successful products, there was always a good story. Those stories told me the motivations, the missions, and the efforts of founders. Many of the success stories started with their own problems. That means that before becoming a founder, the person had some bad experience or suffered from some conditions. Those entrepreneurs were the ones who didn’t stop there. They endeavored to solve the problems and sold solutions to the people having a similar problem.

The reason why I explained this is Dwan Russel fits this formula. She suffered from stage 3 cancer at the very young age of 25. This cover story by HUFFPOST explains that a bone infection weakened her down to the stage where chemotherapy was no longer working. Dwan defied it. She traveled the world and talked with health professionals and medical institutes. Her focus was on green nutrition sources such as blue-green algae, spinach, kale, and more. Dwan credits these green sources with sustaining her during her recovery.

8G or 8Greens, since its launch in late 2015, has grown faster than projections. The HUFFPOST article points out that 8G was acknowledged by professional athletes, supermodels, influencers, and actors. The founder appeared on Good Morning America, People Magazine, Town & Country, Marie Clair, Departures, and more. The 8G products, as you will see later in this post, earned great reviews from their customers.

8 Greens & Benefits

As the name implied, 8G’s products were produced by extracting the essence of the green ingredients. In this section, we will look at each of the green sources and the major health benefits.

Spinach

This article explains that spinach is full of nutrients that are especially good for your skin, hair, and bone health. This vegetable provides protein, iron, vitamins, and minerals. The potential effects on your health include improving blood glucose level in those with diabetes, lowering the risk of cancer, improving bone health, and providing minerals and vitamins.

Wheatgrass

According to this health blog, wheatgrass is typically consumed as a fresh juice and known for having great health benefits. This plant has extensive vitamins and nutrients such as iron, calcium, enzymes, magnesium, phytonutrients, 17 amino acids, vitamins A, C, E, K, and B complex, chlorophyll, proteins. Plus, wheatgrass can remove impurities and toxins from your body. One of the nutrients, for example, the chlorophyll, helps to detox your body and supports your liver function. When your body is detoxed, you may be able to feel energetic and healthy overall. 8Greens points out that wheatgrass can boost red blood cell production that helps circulation and inflammation alleviation.

Kale

Kale contains the nutrients that support healthy skin, hair, and bones. The fiber elements improve digestion and support cardiovascular health. This medical blog claims that kale has more nutritional value than spinach. This vegetable may help improve blood glucose in diabetes, lower the cancer risk, stabilize blood pressure, and help prevent asthma development. This plant is a good source of vitamin C and iron.

Blue-Green Algae

This name may not be familiar to you. This particular plant growing in salt water or fresh water lakes has been used for food for several centuries in Mexico and some African countries according to this blog. The plant is sometimes used as a protein supplement and also to improve high blood pressure. The article said that this algae plaint is being researched for the effects that potentially can improve the immune system, alleviate swelling (inflammation), and viral infections. Also, it can help support energy, memory, and metabolism.

Spirulina

This HealthLine post explains the positive effects of Spirulina. This plant that grows in fresh and salt water has many beneficial nutrients such as protein, vitamin B1, B2, and B3. Also, it contains copper and iron. Spirulina also holds powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, the article points out that it can lower bad LDL cholesterol but increase good HDL cholesterol. Other potential benefits include anti-cancer properties and blood pressure stabilization. 8Greens says that spirulina helps the body’s natural ability to lose weight and regulate sugar intake.

Chlorella

Chlorella is a type of algae that has great health benefits with extensive nutrients. The plant has protein, vitamin B12, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, omega-3, and fiber. This post tells that there was a buzz about chlorella for its detox effects. The article points out that in animal studies, chlorella was effective at helping remove heavy metals and other toxic compounds from the body. Plus, this algae plant has been found to improve the immune system in both animal and human studies in spite of limited evidence. Furthermore, studies indicate that chlorella may lower cholesterol and can help relieve chronic diseases.

Barley Grass

According to this article, barley is one of the oldest crops and is known for many health benefits. Barley grass contains organic sodium that is necessary for the stomach to produce hydrochloric acid. Without the acid, the food we consume cannot be digested. The plant helps our stomach to digest what we eat. It also has essential vitamins, minerals, and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is a compound that converts sunlight into energy within the plant. When the compound is consumed within our body, it releases oxygen into the bloodstream detoxing our body of harmful chemicals, heavy metals, toxins, and impurities. Furthermore, the plant has many essential nutrients that support the immune system.

Aloe Vera

You may already know that aloe is a popular ingredient for treating skin injuries. This article explains that the leaves of the plant have slimy tissue that allows storing water. This makes the leaves thick. The gel contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. Aloe vera gel also has powerful antioxidants that some of them prevent harmful bacteria from growing. It also relieves stomach irritations and supports the immune system.

How Customers Think About 8Greens

When you consider to buy a product or to use a service, you will wonder what experiences other buyers had. Investigating the reviews of other users can lead to a better decision, and it is a wise thing to do as a consumer. If people are dissatisfied with it, they will complain about it and won’t recommend it. If they are happy, they will leave positive comments and share their great experiences. If we can compile and analyze those reviews, we can have an assurance about the product.

That’s what I am going to do for you. I used more than 450 reviews people left on Amazon and summarized those data to generate easy-to-understand graphs and charts. Those visuals will allow you to understand the overall sentiments the customers had toward the product. They are also extremely easy to understand. Specifically, I looked at this product, 8Greens Effervescent Super Greens Dietary Supplement – tablets, for the analysis.

8Greens Positive Word Cloud

In a word cloud, some words will appear bigger because those specific words were more frequently used among customers. So, the bigger the more frequent, thus, if those big words are positive, it proves that most of the customers had a positive experience. Have a look at the word cloud of 8Greens.

Positive 8Greens Word Cloud
Positive 8Greens Word Cloud

The word cloud above should have given you a good impression of their products. The most frequent word that actual customers used in their reviews was “great”. Other big words are also positive – “good”, “love”, “healthy”, “easy”, and many more. Just by looking at the word cloud, we can learn that most of the people were satisfied with their product. Among the words, “healthy”, “delicious”, and “easy” especially are noteworthy since they are what 8Greens claim for their product.

Customer Sentiments

The word cloud tells you what descriptive words people used for the product. There is another angle we can use to understand the 8Greens customer reviews. That is by categorizing the reviews into a type of 10 sentiments. While I used the review titles for the word cloud above, I used the review contents for the sentiment analysis. The result is the graph below.

Positive Customer Sentiments

I was able to run my sentiment analysis code to find out what specific sentiments people had over the product. As we could guess from the word cloud, most of the review contents were positive. Of course, people shared some negative thoughts. I haven’t seen any review that is all positive. Despite the negative reviews, overall, people left positive comments for the 8Greens product. If we summarize the sentiments simply by positive and negative, the picture becomes clearer.

More Positive 8Greens Feedback

As you can see from the above, the majority of the customers felt positive about 8Greens.

Trend

Another type of analysis I often use for a product review is using Google Trend. It is an extremely helpful service by Google that gives you a historical Google search trend. The idea is that if a product or a company can maintain or can increase its search volume over many years, it supports the quality of the product. If a product is bad, people won’t show their interest and eventually will never search for the product anymore. Then, how is the trend of 8Greens? Plus, how has people’s interest in the health product in general been changed?

The blue line shows the trend of 8Greens over the past year. It shows that there was a big swing in December 2018. Since then, it became a bit quiet, but it has been able to maintain the baseline consistently. This is a good sign because, except the seasonal upswing in December, people still have shown an interest and Google predicts that the trend is likely to go up again.

Conclusion

In this 8Greens review, we have discovered that the health product provides a great range of health benefits. My customer review analysis proved that the majority of the actual customers liked 8Greens tablets for their effect, taste, and ease of use. Considering the trend from Google, it is likely that more people are likely to search for 8Greens. So, I think you can start with one or three tubes first to see how it goes. If you feel the difference, you can use their subscription plans.
