Crossrope Major Features

Rope jumping is known to be beneficial to cardiovascular fitness, bone health, and even your brain according to the Jump Rope Institute. Plus, you don’t need any heavy equipment or go to the gym. In addition to these benefits, Crossrope has made rope skipping fun and smart.

Different Rope Weights

Crossrope has several weight options you can choose depending on the goal of your workout. To change a rope, you can simply open a clip, remove a rope, and put a new rope back in. When you purchase a GET-FIT option, you will 4 different ropes that weigh:

  • 1/4 lb
  • 1/2 lb
  • 1 lb
  • 2 lb

Crossrope says that 1/4 lb and 1/2 lb are good for cardio and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout. 1 lb and 2 lb are suitable for full-body workout.

Strong Rope Durability

Crossrope points out that their ropes are durable that you can use it on any type of surface. Also, the ropes were designed to be tangle-free. I personally experienced spending some time to untangle my rope before workout, which is not a fun experience.

Durable Handles

The Crossrope handles are also made for durability and for easy grip. The handles supported by life-time warranty.

Smart App

I also want to highlight their workout support using the smartphone app. You can use the app by joining one of the two membership options. You can choose the Lite version that is free or Premium where you pay $9.99 / month or $59.99 / year. The app offers contents and compatibility with Google Fit and Apple Health. In terms of the contents,

the Lite option provides:

  • 10 Recent workouts
  • 5 Jumping rope fitness challenges
  • Jumping rope tutorials

the Premium option gives you:

  • 200+ workouts and 10+ challenges
  • Workout search options and saving function
  • Crossrope Count feature that counts your jumps
  • + Everything included in the Lite option

When I saw these features, there were two things I wanted to further know – fitness challenges and Crossrope Count feature.

Fitness Challenges

The fitness challenge is designed by Crossrope to help you to stay healthy. Crossrope explains that the participants have lost their weight from 5 to 20+ lbs although the weight loss can differ for different reasons. In addition to weight loss, it can improve your cardio and strength. The challenge content keeps changing regularly and there is a specific starting date decided by Crossrope.

Crossrope Count

Crossrope Count is a trademark name invented by Crossrope, and it is part of the premium membership functions. You may have experienced that you forget the count while rope skipping. With the premium feature, you can let the app count instead of you. You can focus on what’s more important to you than counting.

Prices

Currently, there are three products that have a different price tag.

  • GET FIT: $238
  • GET LEAN: $99
  • GET STRONG: $139

How Customers Think About Crossrope

When you consider buying a product or using a service, you will wonder what experiences other buyers had. Investigating the reviews of other users can lead to a better decision, and it is a wise thing to do as a consumer. If people are dissatisfied with it, they will complain about it and won’t recommend it. If they are happy, they will leave positive comments and share their great experiences. If we can compile and analyze those reviews, we can have an assurance about the product or the service.

That’s what I am going to do for you. I used over 700 reviews that people left on Amazon. I summarized those data to generate easy-to-understand graphs and charts. Those visuals will allow you to understand the overall sentiments the customers had toward Crossrope.

Positive Crossrope Word Cloud

In a word cloud, some words will appear bigger because those specific words were more frequently used among customers. So, the bigger the more frequent, thus, if those big words are positive, it proves that most of the customers had a positive experience. Have a look at the word cloud of the Crossrope products.

The word cloud above should have given you a good impression of their products. The most frequent word that actual customers used in their reviews was “great”. Other big words are also positive – “best”, “worth”, “awesome”, “quality”, “love”, and many more. Just by looking at the word cloud, we can learn that most of the people were satisfied with the jumping rope products.

Among the word above, “five” and “stars” appeared because of the the Amazon’s review rating. When customers don’t put a review title but give five stars out of five, Amazon uses “five stars” as a title, and this means the customers were satisfied with the product.

I went on and checked the reviews on the app on Apple’s App Store. There, I could see many positive feedback. If I share a couple of them:

“So excited, just received my Crossrope set made up of the 1/4 and 1/2 pound ropes and have to say how well designed and manufactured this product is. Also how ingenious are the handles that come with the quick connect latches for easy connectivity to the rope. Looking forward to using it first thing tomorrow morning. Will keep you updated as to my results. Great looking product, thanks so much.”

Positive review from App Store

This review describes well the major features of Crossrope. Another positive review:

“I absolutely hated cardio until I brought this rope. I have tried every cardio machine, running, and walking. Cardio use to be a chore for me and not anything I wanted to do. Now, I look forward to my next jump rope session.”

Another positive review from App Store

Cardio exercise can be tough and boring. This person seems to have overcome the hatred after purchasing Crossrope.

Customer Sentiments

The word cloud tells you what descriptive words people used for the product. There is another angle we can use to understand the Crossrope’s customer reviews. That is by categorizing the reviews into a type of 10 sentiments. While I used the review titles for the word cloud above, I used the review contents for the sentiment analysis. The result is the graph below.

Positive Crossrope Customer Sentiments

I was able to run my sentiment analysis code to find out what specific sentiments people had over the Crossrope products. As we could guess from the word cloud, more than half of the review contents were positive. Of course, people shared negative experiences. I haven’t seen any review that is all positive. Despite the negative reviews, overall, people left positive comments on the skipping rope product.

Crossrope Interest Trend

Another type of analysis I often use for a product review is using Google Trend. It is an extremely helpful service by Google that gives you a historical Google search trend. The idea is that if a product or a company can maintain or can increase its search volume over many years, it supports the quality of the product. If a product is bad, people won’t show their interest and eventually will never search for the product anymore. Then, how is the trend of Crossrope? Plus, how has people’s interest in general been changed?

The blue line represents the search volume on the Internet over the past 5 years. As you can see, it started as a stable flat line. There were many fluctuations, but it had gradually grown until early 2020. Since March 2020, people’s search in Crossrope has skyrocketed. I believe that as people stay at home under this unusual time, they decide to have exercise equipment that they can easily use.

This trend may continue in the future, and more people might be interested in Crossrope products. Please note that the trend above was from the world. If we break down the volume by country, it looks like the following.

Most popular in Singapre

The word, Crossrope, was searched in Singapore the most followed by the United States, Canada, Australia, and Ireland. You also might be from one of the countries.

Considerations

Before finishing the review, there are some things I want to share with you. Although there can be several specific reasons for rope jumping – losing weight, staying active, cardio exercise, or more – you are basically doing it for your health. As Crossrope points out (and from my research, other health expert also stressed this), the result can vary depending on your:

  • your diet
  • your daily activity level
  • your dedication to the workout
  • your health goals

The HealthLine article warned not to lose two pounds per week since that can affect your muscle mass.

Your workout effect will be further increased when you combine it with your improved diet. Go check your fridge and try to design your diet with nutritious and high-fiber proteins that can reduce your hunger. Also, curbing sugar and carbohydrates will also help you to reach your goal.

Conclusion

We have learned the major features of Crossrope and discovered the positive reviews from the customers. Also, we could see the increasing search trend of Crossrope on Google. All combined, I think Crossrope is a quality skipping rope product for your home exercise.
