This post will share my findings on how actual users think about this product using data analysis techniques. I’ve collected user reviews of +2,400 from Amazon, and applied my sentiment analysis to discover the people’s sentiment toward this product and if it is positive or negative.

First of all, let’s first see the overall ratings from the customers. I’ve selected the ratings from two major online markets, Amazon and eBay. Then, I gave different weights to each website depending on the number of reviewers. My calculation gave me:

This rating already tells you that this product has been selected and loved by many customers, and most of them liked it. Have you heard about a word cloud? This funny name is actually a good starter to learn how people describe things around us. With a word cloud, you can see specific words in different sizes. The larger it is, the more people used that word to describe it. For you, I will use this fun technique to help you to better understand this product.
For this, I extracted the title of each review and aggregated them as a big chunky text. My analytics code counted each word and generated the following pretty word cloud for your easy understanding.

Customer Sentiment
In this section, I will show you what specific sentiments people had toward BHS-730. You will be able to see 10 different sentiments such as positive, negative, trust, anticipation, joy, sadness, fear, anger, surprise, and disgust – all ranked by frequency. While the word cloud has used the titles, this customer sentiment used the contents of the reviews.
If you see the chart above, you can see that the positive sentiment takes the largest portion of all sentiments. It’s followed by the negative sentiment. Trust ranked 3rd, followed by anticipation, joy, and sadness. The “positive” and other positive sentiments together outweigh the rest negative words.

We have found out that customer feedback has been undoubtedly positive. Now, let’s have a look at what features these earbuds have. For their features, I’ve referred to the descriptions section of the product page on Amazon.

This video review seems to be quite positive with the product. The design itself is not revolutionary, but is simple and is not bothering at all. I especially like the look when you wear them like a necklace using the magnet.
