How People Think about Skullcandy Uproar Wireless Headphones

When you consider buying a product or using a service, you will wonder what experiences other buyers had. Investigating the reviews of other users can lead to a better decision, and it is a wise thing to do as a consumer. If people are dissatisfied with it, they will complain about it and won’t recommend it. If they are happy, they will leave positive comments and share their great experiences. If we can compile and analyze those reviews, we can have an assurance about the product or the service.

That’s what I am going to do for you. I analyzed the combined (more than 2,300) Skullcandy Uploar reviews that people left on Amazon. I summarized those data to generate easy-to-understand graphs and charts. Those visuals will allow you to understand the overall sentiments the customers had toward the Skullcandy product.

The word cloud above should have given you a good impression of their products. The most frequent word that actual customers used in their reviews was “great”. Other big words are also positive – “starts”, “five”, “good”, “price”, “comfortable”, “best”, “quality”, and many more. Just by looking at the word cloud, we can learn that most customers were satisfied with the wireless headphones.

Among the words above, “quality”, “comfortable”, and “price” caught my attention because they describe the product well. If a product provides has a great quality at an affordable price, what more can we want? To have more context, I’ll share how thoese words were used in the reviews.

“quality”

“A good option for value and sound quality”

“Great quality headphones for an amazing price!”

“Secure Fitting Quality. Treadmill Approved!”

“comfortable”

“Great sound quality and very comfortable”

“Great headphones; Solid battery life; Comfortable”

“Good Sound, Comfortable, Affordable, Overall Good Quality”

“price”

“Excellent headphones, especially for the price!

“Amazing quality for price and they last forever”

“There the best you can get for the price”

There were many more positive reviews that included these three words. But what I want to remind is that positiveness toward its sound quality and comfortable fit is relative to the price. It is good for the price so it could be greedy if we expect a superior sound quality and high-end texture that you can feel from very expensive headphones.

Customer Sentiments

The word cloud tells you what descriptive words people used for the product. There is another angle we can use to understand the Uproar’s customer reviews. That is by categorizing the reviews into a type of 10 sentiments. While I used the review titles for the word cloud above, I used the review contents for the sentiment analysis. The result is the graph below.

I was able to run my sentiment analysis code to find out what specific sentiments people had over the Uproar wireless headphones. As we could guess from the word cloud, more than half of the reviews were positive. Of course, people shared negative experiences. I haven’t seen any review that is all positive. Despite the negative reviews, overall, people left positive comments on the headphones.

Skullcandy Interest Trend

Another type of analysis I often use for a product review is using Google Trend. It is an extremely helpful service by Google that gives you a historical Google search trend. The idea is that if a product or a company can maintain or can increase its search volume over many years, it supports the quality of the product. If a product is bad, people won’t show their interest and eventually will never search for the product anymore. Then, how is the trend of Skullcandy? I had a look at the trends of Skullcandy Uproar, but it seemed that search volume has decreased recently since the model is not the most recent one.

Instead, the graph below shows the search volume of the brand over the past five years. This can be a good indicator of people’s interest in the headphone brand.

The blue line represents the search volume on Google over the period. It has been able to maintain the base level. It showed five spikes near the year-end seasons. This proves that people’s consistent interest in the brand and its products. And, it is a good sign for the brand and its products.

Conclusion

We learned the major features of the Skullcandy Uproar wireless headphone. This under-50 wireless headphones has the good range of features and comfortable fit for your years. These characteristics could be easily found in the customer reviews that turned out to be positive. Plus, it seems that the brand has been able to attract customer’s attention over the past five years, which is a good indicator for the overall product quality. So, if you are looking for a pair of headphones at an affordable price, Skullcandy Uproar can be a great choice for you.
